It’s A Wrap! is a family owned and operated
company, founded by Janet Dion in 1981. Jan was working on the
CBS Radford Studios lot during the actors strike in the early 1980’s
that forced many layoffs. Jan was asked to run an auction for
the company, to sell wardrobe, props and sets from “The Muppet
Movie,” “Raise the Titanic” and “Hard Country”, during which time
she witnessed an entire trailer of wardrobe auction for a mere
$1,200. It was at that time she discovered the concept of
selling wardrobe items piece by piece to the general public.
She believed it would not only render a higher return for the
production company and recycle unwanted wardrobe, but would catch on
fast with the general public. The small store was cleverly
named Retake Room, located on Laurel Grove Avenue in Studio City ,
California .
In May of 1992, It’s A Wrap! Production Wardrobe Sales LLC
opened it’s doors in a small shop on Burbank Blvd. in Burbank,
California. In June of 1994, the store was moved to our
current 7,000 square foot location on Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank,
Califonia. And in September of 2006 we opened our second 5,000
square foot location on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills,
California. |

Because we sell wardrobe for our studio clients such as Paramount
Pictures, Warner Bros. Studios, Universal Studios, Walt Disney Studios,
Twentieth Century Fox Studios, NBC Studios Inc., ABC Studios Inc., CBS
Studio Inc. and hundreds more, we needed the large retail spaces to display
the thousands of wardrobe and prop items for sale.
Our showroom looks like a sound stage as we have props and memorabilia
suspended from the rafters and hanging on the walls. These items
represent just a few of the films and television shows we have sold over the
years. Our walls adorn outfits worn by Sharon Stone, Michelle
Pfeiffer, John Travolta, Sylvester Stallone, Sean Penn, Nicholas Cage, Drew
Barrymore, Dustin Hoffman, Brad Pitt, Mel Gibson, Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, Jim Carey, Billy Crystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger,
Shannen Doherty, theoriginal mask and cape worn on “Scream” and props and
costumes from “Coneheads,” “Cat in the Hat,” “Charmed,” “Seabiscuit,”
“Pleasantville,” “Austin Powers,” “Xena: Warrior Princess,” “The
Flintsones in Viva Rock Vegas,” “The Wonder Years,” “Cliffhanger,” “Medicine
Man,” “Moonlighting,” “All My Children,” “The Mask,” “Blade,” “Van Helsing,”
“American Beauty,” “The Family Man,” “Sex and the City,” “Seinfeld,”
“Melrose Place,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Honeymoon in Vegas,” “The Truman
Show,” “Rocky,” “Hill Street Blues,” “The Wiz” and more.
